Ballot Rules

Clear rules for ticket ballot eligibility, applications, payments, sit-out periods, restrictions, family membership and member conduct.

Effective Date: 1 July 2026 Last Updated: July 2026 Season 2026/27

Overview

The Dublin Arsenal Supporters Club ticket ballot system is designed to distribute available Arsenal match tickets fairly, transparently and consistently among eligible members.

Ticket demand is usually higher than the number of tickets available. Entering a ballot does not guarantee a ticket.

Core principle: DASC is a supporters club, not a ticket agency. Ballots exist to support active, genuine Arsenal supporters and to manage limited allocations fairly.

Eligibility

To enter a DASC ticket ballot, a member must meet all applicable eligibility requirements.

  • The member must hold an active DASC membership for the current season.
  • The member must have completed membership renewal or be manually approved by an authorised admin.
  • The member must provide a valid Arsenal Membership Number where required for ticketing.
  • The member must have the correct ballot access level for the specific match category.
  • The member must not be under an active ballot restriction, suspension or renewal lock.
  • The member profile must contain accurate personal and contact information.
Important: If your renewal is unpaid or your Arsenal Membership Number is missing or invalid, the portal may automatically block ballot access.

Membership Access Levels

Ballot access depends on membership type, season status and any restrictions applied by the club.

Committee

May access all ballots and may have additional administrative functions.

Silver Member

May access all eligible ballots and any Silver priority windows where they apply.

Social Member Plus

May access all eligible ballots where Arsenal membership and renewal requirements are met.

Family Membership

May access eligible ballots once family verification and payment requirements are complete.

Rookie

First-season members may be restricted to Category C league matches and selected cup matches.

Social Member

River Bar and community benefits only. No ticket ballot access.

Match Categories

  • Category A: highest-demand league fixtures, such as Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool.
  • Category B: medium-demand league fixtures, such as Newcastle, Aston Villa and Brighton.
  • Category C: lower-demand league fixtures.
  • Cup fixtures: FA Cup and Carabao Cup ballots may have separate eligibility rules.
  • European fixtures: Champions League ballots may have separate eligibility rules and allocation limits.

Family Membership

Family Membership must be verified by an admin before ballot access and renewal status are fully confirmed.

  • The primary family account holder is responsible for all linked family details.
  • All adult members included in a Family Membership must be declared and paid for.
  • Children may be included free of charge where they meet the current DASC age threshold.
  • Family Membership ballot access may depend on the number of verified adults, linked members and available allocation for each fixture.
  • Each linked adult may require a valid Arsenal Membership Number where Arsenal ticketing rules require it.
Family verification: The committee may request clarification before issuing payment links or approving ballot access for a Family Membership account.

How to Enter a Ballot

  1. Log in to the DASC Members Portal.
  2. Open the Ballots section.
  3. Select an available ballot.
  4. Confirm that your details and Arsenal Membership Number are correct.
  5. Submit your application before the published deadline.

Ballot announcements may also be communicated by email and through official DASC channels.

Deadline rule: Late applications are not accepted. If the ballot closes, the system and committee will not normally add applications manually.

Ballot Selection Process

After a ballot closes, eligible applications are reviewed by the system and/or authorised admins. Successful applicants are selected according to the rules for that match.

  • Only eligible applications are included.
  • Duplicate or invalid applications may be removed.
  • Specific matches may have allocation limits or priority rules.
  • Successful applicants receive a winner notification and payment instructions.
  • Unsuccessful applicants may receive a loser notification or remain on a reserve list depending on the fixture.

If priority rules apply to a specific match, they will be stated in the ballot announcement.

Ticket Payments

Successful applicants must pay for their ticket before the stated payment deadline.

  • Payment links are sent by email or displayed through the portal where applicable.
  • Payments may be made by PayPal, debit card or credit card.
  • A PayPal account is not required when paying by card where card payment is available.
  • The payment deadline is set per ballot and is commonly 48 hours unless stated otherwise.
  • Reminder emails may be sent before the deadline, but members remain responsible for paying on time.
Non-payment: If payment is not completed by the deadline, the ticket may be reallocated and ballot restrictions may be applied.

Sit-Out Period

To help share tickets fairly, DASC may apply sit-out rules after a member wins a ballot.

  • If a member wins and accepts a league ticket, they may be required to sit out the next four eligible league ballots.
  • If a member wins and declines without a valid reason, a sit-out or stronger restriction may apply.
  • Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup fixtures may be exempt from league sit-out rules unless stated otherwise.
  • European or cup fixtures may have separate fairness rules due to limited allocations.
  • Members who repeatedly decline successful ballots without valid reason may be suspended from further ballots for the season.
Valid reasons: Illness, family emergency or serious unexpected circumstances may be considered by the committee. The decision remains at the committee's discretion.

Restrictions and Suspensions

Restrictions may be applied automatically by the portal or manually by the committee.

  • Failure to pay for a won ticket before the deadline.
  • Repeatedly declining tickets after winning ballots.
  • Submitting duplicate, false or misleading applications.
  • Attempting to transfer, resell or misuse a ticket.
  • Using another member's account, membership number or QR code.
  • Abusive behaviour towards committee members, volunteers, other members or venue staff.

Restrictions may include a temporary ballot ban, removal from a specific ballot, suspension for the season or membership termination in serious cases.

Ticket Use and Identification

  • Tickets are personal to the successful member and must not be transferred or resold.
  • If you cannot attend, you must contact DASC as soon as possible. The committee will decide whether reallocation is possible.
  • Tickets are normally distributed electronically unless stated otherwise.
  • Members may be required to show photo ID, Arsenal membership details or their DASC Digital Membership Card.
  • Arsenal FC stadium rules and ticketing terms apply in addition to DASC rules.
No resale: Reselling or attempting to profit from a DASC ticket is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership.

River Bar Attendance and Club Engagement

DASC is a supporters club built around community, not only tickets. Attendance at River Bar and participation in club activities may be considered where specific priority or engagement rules are announced.

  • Members may check in at River Bar using their Digital Membership Card QR code.
  • Attendance records may support club reporting, engagement analysis and selected eligibility checks.
  • Where attendance is used for a ballot or priority rule, this will be clearly communicated.

Committee Decisions

DASC is run by volunteers. The committee reserves the right to interpret and apply these rules in the best interests of the club, its members and official supporters club obligations.

  • The committee may correct technical errors or duplicate entries.
  • The committee may amend ballot windows where operationally required.
  • The committee may reject applications that breach these rules.
  • The committee may amend these rules during the season if required.
Transparency: Material rule changes will be communicated through the Members Portal or official DASC channels where practical.

Ballot FAQ

Why can I not see any ballots in my profile?

Common reasons include unpaid renewal, missing Arsenal Membership Number, Social Member status, Rookie restrictions, incomplete profile information or an active ballot restriction.

Do I need an Arsenal Membership to apply?

Yes. For Arsenal ticket ballots, members must normally hold a valid Arsenal Membership. This is required for ticketing compliance and eligibility.

Can Social Members enter ballots?

No. Social Member status is for River Bar and club community benefits only. It does not include ticket ballot access.

What restrictions apply to Rookie Members?

Rookie Members are usually first-season members. Their ballot access may be limited to Category C league fixtures and selected cup fixtures, depending on current season rules.

Can Family Membership accounts apply for more than one ticket?

Family Membership applications depend on verification, linked adult members, Arsenal membership requirements and the specific match allocation. The committee may limit or approve the number of tickets per family account per fixture.

How long do I have to pay if I win?

The deadline is set per ballot and will be stated in the winner notification. A 48-hour payment window is common, but members must always follow the deadline shown for that specific match.

What happens if I miss the payment deadline?

Your ticket may be reallocated to another member and a ballot restriction may be applied to your account.

Can I give my ticket to another member or friend?

No. Tickets must not be transferred privately. If you cannot attend, contact DASC immediately and the committee will decide whether official reallocation is possible.

Do cup and Champions League matches count towards the sit-out period?

Cup and Champions League fixtures may be exempt from league sit-out rules unless stated otherwise. These fixtures may still have separate fairness or priority rules due to demand and allocation limits.

Can the committee change ballot rules for a specific match?

Yes. Some fixtures may require special rules because of ticket allocation, Arsenal requirements, high demand, short deadlines or operational needs. Any specific rule should be stated in the ballot announcement.

Does River Bar attendance guarantee tickets?

No. Attendance does not guarantee a ticket. However, if DASC announces an engagement or attendance-based priority rule for a specific fixture, attendance records may be considered.

Can I appeal a restriction?

You may contact the committee with relevant information. The committee will review the matter where appropriate, but restrictions caused by missed payments, misuse or clear rule breaches may remain in place.
